Special court denies bail to Sushant Singh's flatmate Siddharth Pithani
A special court in Mumbai has denied bail to Siddharth Pithani in drugs case.

On Wednesday, a special NDPS Mumbai court has denied bail to Siddharth Pithani, Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate. He was arrested in a drugs case linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput's death in June 2020. Siddharth Pithani was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on May 28 this year from Hyderabad and currently he is in judicial custody.
As reported by News18, he was arrested under section 27 (A) (financing illicit traffic and harboring offenders) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, among other charges. Pithani requested for bail claiming that he had been booked in a false case. His bail application stated, "he was never found in possession of any drugs and nothing that could suggest he was involved in drug trafficking was recovered from him."
However, special public prosecutor Advait Sethna argued that from Pithani's mobile phone incriminating photos, videos and other material were recovered which stated that he used to procure drugs in large quantity when he stayed with Sushant. After hearing the arguments special judge V V Vidwans rejected the bail plea.
