It’s been our films and shows which have only strengthened our belief in the magic of love. And while the cult classics of cinema has made us all crave for a fairytale romance, our ideal couples in TV shows too have made us yearn to have the perfect life partner. And while the perfect soulmate has purely been a dream for us, this dream turned into reality for many TV actors. Yes, while they entertained us with their oh-so-amazing chemistry, love bloomed between them while playing the characters.
And it all ended with a happily ever after for these television’s power couples. Here are some TV actors who married their co-stars after falling in love on set…
Shoaib Ibrahim – Dipika Kakkar
This TV couple has been our favourite for a very long time now, and it was not just because of their work on screen or their chemistry in Sasural Simar Ka, but the undying love after the show which had they come together for life. While Dipika’s marriage was on the verge of breaking when she met Shoaib, it was only after Shoaib leaving the show that the two realized how they were madly in love with each other. Well, then the couple went on to participate and Nach Baliye and in February 2018, they got married, from there their happily ever after began.
Divyanka Tripathi – Vivek Dahiya
It just wasn’t Shoika who had the perfect love story, but even Divyanka found her Mr Right in hubby Vivek Dahiya while the two worked together in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. While #Divyek fell in love slowly, it was all magical for Divyanka. Before meeting Vivek, Divyanka had been dealing with a heartbreak since her decade long relationship with Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan co-star Ssharad Malhotra ended. But, when she met Vivek, her perfect love story kickstarted once again. This couple tied the knot in July 2016.
Sanaya Irani – Mohit Malhotra
Who can ever forget this cute couple and their chemistry in the show Miley Jab Hum Tum. While they met on the set of this show in 2008, their on-screen romance turned into an off-screen one in no time. But the couple never made their relationship public for 7 years, they dated for this long, before saying ‘I do’ at a destination wedding in Goa in January 2016.
Gurmeet Choudhary – Debina Bannerji
Another IT couple from the telly world was the small screen Ram-Sita. Not only did they seem made for each other with on the mythological show Ramayana, but they have been each other’s better-halves in real life too. After meeting each other in 2006, it was after 5 years that Gurmeet proposed Debina on a reality show and the couple got married in February 2011.
Hiten Tejwani – Gauri Pradhan
One of the most loved and celebrated TV couples has been actor Hiten Tejwani and his wife Gaur Pradhan. While their amazing chemistry in the 2001 show Kutumb made people fall in love with their couple, they went on to play a Jodi on-screen even in other shows, Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi a major one. Considering their contrasting personalities, Hiten-Gauri have been quite a doting couple. The two tied the knot in 2004 and have twins.
Ravi Dubey – Sargun Mehta
A power couple in both reel and real-life Ravi and Sargun have never failed to dole out amazing couple goals. And their romance began on the show 12/24 Karol Bagh in which the two played husband and wife. While initially, Sargun found Ravi weird, once she got to know him, she couldn’t stop falling in love with him. After dating for some time, Ravi proposed Sargun on national television and later the two got married in 2013.
Shakti Arora – Neha Saxena
Though a very simple, but Shakti and Neha have been a very beautiful real-life couple. While the two looked great when they worked in Tere Liye, further on Nach Baliye also, their chemistry was magical. And while the two have been in love for a very long time it was in April 2018 that they tied the knot.
Well, it’s true that love can happen anytime, anywhere and these couples are living proof of it.
