Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer and music launch event. The grand show was attended by the star cast

There is great news for the Ponniyin Selvan fans. The trailer and music launch of the highly awaited Mani Ratnam directorial Ponniyin Selvan 2 is currently underway. 

The second sequel of this movie of Cholas would surely meet the expectations of its fans. The tarilor and music of the second part was recently launched in a an event attended by pivotal cast and crew members of the magnum opus, including Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha and AR Rahman among others. The special guest of the function held in March 29 is none other than megastar Kamal Haasan, who has collaborated with Ratnam in the past. 

The details of the eagerly awaited grand launch have been shared in the official social media handle of the film. The caption reads, “An evening of music, nostalgia, and history awaits you at the #PS2 music launch! Join us!” Another post read, “A momentous occasion calls for a momentous guest! Join us in welcoming the one and only #UlagaNayagan @ikamalhaasan sir to unveil the music and trailer of #PS2 on March 29th at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai!.”

The launching event of PS 2 trailer was held in the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The second part of Ponniyin Selvan is actually based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 which she had written by the same name. The movie would conclude the first movie, in which Ponniyin Selvan faces his death, as Aishwarya Rai’s Oomai Rani Jumps in the sea to save him. The movie Ponniyin Selvan 2 would be released in cinemas on April 28 of this year.
