TV actors’ life is full of drama not just in the acting world but in reality too. While we see marriages and drama happen in abundance in TV shows, the life of a TV actor is no different from a TV soap. Yes, their relationships are as dramatic as the shows and while we see they live every bit of it, they still manage to rule our hearts with their performances. 

While marriages are favorite of the TV fraternity, the most recent celeb to tie the knot is actress Gauahar Khan who will be getting married to beau Zaid Darbar on Friday. The festivities have begun and love is in the air, but do you know in the past, Gauahar has called off two weddings at the last minute. Here are TV celebs who broke their marriage in the nick of time…

Shilpa Shinde-Romit Raj

Actress Shilpa Shinde was all set to get married in 2009 to lover Romit Raj. After falling in love on the sets of Maayka, Shilpa and Romit were all set to have a November wedding in Goa. The cards were also printed, but at the last minute Shilpa called off the wedding stating that Romit did not respect her family. She did a lot for him but he was not at all adjusting, according to Shilpa. 

Mallika Sherawat-Karan Singh Gill

Film and TV actress Mallika Sherawat who is not married and settled abroad had initially chosen her life partner at a reality show. Yes, on the reality show called The Bachelorette India she chose a 12-year-younger Vijay Singh as her to be her life partner. She even got engaged to him on the show but didn’t marry him. Later o Vijay revealed that as per the contract, Mallika could either leave him or marry him in a year. She called him to LA, but he couldn’t go. Later on, she started giving him hints about how she was not very keen on the relationship and stopped taking his calls. 

Rakhi Sawant-Elesh Parujanwala

TV industry’s drama queen Rakhi Sawan decided to get married with a lot of show-sha through a reality show. And while this over the top Rakhi Ka Swayamvar got her a suitable match, she only exchanged rings with him in 2009. Some months later she broke off the engagement saying that Elesh lied about his financial status. She also confessed that she engaged him for money. Rakhi is now married to a UK based businessman named Ritesh. 

Karishma Tanna-Upen Patel

Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel fell in love on the reality show Bigg Boss, later on, they also participated in other shows where they even got engaged. And while all was hunky-dory, all of a sudden the two broke up and if reports are to be believed, a commitment was the reason. While Karishma wanted to get married, Upen was not ready to give a commitment. 

Gauahar Khan - Sajid Khan

Yes, in 2003 Gauahar was engaged to filmmaker Sajid Khan, but soon the two broke the engagement for reasons unknown. But some rumors stated that it was Sajid’s philandering ways that led to Gauahar walk out of the relationship. 

Gauahar Khan-Kushal Tandon

After Sajid, Gauahar found love in Kushal Tandon on Bigg Boss 7. The two were going strong even after the show, and they were about to get married. But then things fell apart over the issue that the marriage would happen with what tradition first, and things went so bad between the two that they called I quits. 

But it's all in the past now and Gauahar has found her one true love in music composer Ismail Darbar’s son Zaid Darbar. The two are getting married on December,25th and the functions have already begun.
