Udta Bollywood: NCB finds drugs with Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash, will the actress be in trouble?

Ever since the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case brought to the forefront Bollywood’s drug nexus, lots of Bollywood stars have come under the scanner. And one of the biggest names on the list was actress Deepika Padukone. In fact, Deepika’s chats with her manager Karishma Prakash, asking for “maal” were also given to the NCB. Since then Deepika and her staff have been on the Narcotic Bureau’s radar. 

And as per the latest reports, NCB raided Deepika’s manager Karishma’s house on Tuesday and found Charas and CBD Oil in her possession. It is said that NCB officials found 1.7 grams of Charas and 2 bottles of Cannabis (CBD) oil at her residence. Talking to a daily, an NCB official said, that Karishma was not at her residence when the search was carried out. 

Karishma’s name cropped up during the questioning of a drug paddler Jaya Saha. Based on those allegations the NCB raided her home. When Deepika’s name had also cropped up in the issue, the actress was called for questioning by the NCB. And now with this development, we wonder if Deepika might also get in trouble. 

Sharing more details about Karishma’s interrogation an official from NCB told a leading daily that, “We have called her for questioning tomorrow to NCB, however, her phone has been switched off and we do not know where she is.” The official also stated that Karishma has violated sections of the NDPS act and will be given a chance to defend herself before her name is added in an FIR. 

Bollywood’s drug nexus was exposed after Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty revealed in an interview how Sushant used to consume Marijuana on a frequent basis. After this, even Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter and revealed how consumption of drugs is very common in Bollywood and how such substances are freely available at B-town parties. 

Further in investigations while some common drug paddlers who supply drugs o stars were exposed Rhea’s brother Showik and late Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda also came under the scanner and were arrested by NCB. Later on, Rhea also exposed how Sushant would do drugs at his farmhouse parties with young actresses like Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, etc. She even took other names of actress Rakul Preet Singh, Simonne Khambatta, and others with reference to drug consumption. 

The issue also created a stir in the parliament, now investigations are being made and an FIR report is being prepared with all the names involved in this drug scandal, and going by media reports a lot of A-listers can land in trouble. Let us see what happens, as this case progresses. Stay tuned!
