Bigg Boss 14: Rubina Dilaik, Nikki Tamboli, Pavitra Punia brought the house down in week 1

Bigg Boss 14 has been truly living up to its claim of ‘Ab scene paltega’, for this year’s contestants have given a 360 spin to the show's format, but putting a lovey-dovey front for the viewers. And it was not just us, but even host Salman Khan who felt that the contestants are just being good for their image on the show. 

However, some personalities couldn’t keep calm for even the first week and it was their stance that led to some serious drama in the Bigg Boss 14 house. The contestants this season are, Nishant Singh Malkani, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Eijaz Khan, Pavitra Punia, Shehzad Deol, Sara Gurpal, Nikki Tamboli, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Rahul Vaidya, Rubina Dilaik, and Abhinav Shukla. Here are some major highlights from week one…

What’s different?

Keeping in mind the lockdown, Bigg Boss has provided all the facilities that have been unavailable for a few months now, in the season 14’s house. There is a BB Mall, where all the contestants belongings are placed and they are collectively allowed to only take a total of 7 items each day. Other than this there is a BB theater and spa which has not been accessible so far. Like every year, this year the house doesn’t have a jail. 

Contestants and the Toofani Seniors

Right in the start, Bigg Boss threw a twist for the contestants, when he brought ex-contestants as the toofani seniors to add the required spice to the game in the initial days. It was Gauahar Khan, Sidharth Shukla, and Hina Khan who joined the 11 contestants to give them a tough time in the house. 

Not only did these seniors decide on day 1 which fresher was accepted and who was rejected, but they all have some other powers. Like it is Hina who has the charge of BB Mall and she gives the contestants the daily 7 items, similarly, it is Gauahar who decides who will eat how much food on a daily basis and the Kitchen is her territory. As for Sidharth, his job is to allot beds to the contestants and he decides who will sleep where and when. 

The tasks

While we saw four tasks in the first week, it was a happy picture in the first task for rejected contestants. All four, Sara, Rubina, Nishant, and Jaan happily took up challenges from seniors to get accepted in the house without and drama. While in the second jewel thief task, we saw Gauahar and Sidharth having a fight, Eijaz also got into an argument with Sid. Even the other immunity tasks brought some major fights. 

The fights

But nothing was bigger than some actual fights that happened outside the task. While Nikki Tamboli has not been in everyone’s good books from day two, it was her fight with Shehzad first and later on with other contestants over the daily 7 things from the BB Mall which led to some serious drama. Nikki created a stir in the house when she demanded 3 things out of 7 and was not ready to budge, she was even okay with keeping the housemates hungry for that day. After Nikki, there was a major fight between Rahul and Pavitra over cleanliness in the bathroom. The third contestant to bring the house down was Rubina who locked horns with seniors questioning their decisions and even accusing Bigg Boss fro breaking her spirit. She even lost her cool when Abhinav got rashes due to chilli powder being rubbed on his face during a task.

Weekend Ka Vaar

While it was time for their review from Salman Khan, the superstar took on everyone in his own style. He even reiterated how the contestants have made this season look boring. From Jasmin, Abhinav, Rubina, Eijaz and everyone else was shown their mistake. The contestants were given another task too, where the contestants not taking a stand for themselves did not only piss off the seniors but also Salman Khan, after which he declared that no one is safe this week except for the immunity task winner Nikki Tamboli. 

Well, week one on the show has been decent and while the seniors will be in the house for another week, we will have to see what happens in week 2. What we know is that four new contestants will be joining the game, they are Naina Singh, Shardul Pandit, Rashmi Gupta, and Pratik Sehajpal. Let us wait and watch how things take a turn on Bigg Boss in the coming days. Stay tuned!
