EXCLUSIVE: Did the Bigg Boss 14 makers pay a huge amount to Vikas Gupta for exposing his affair with Priyank Sharma on the show?

A few months before entering Bigg Boss 14 as a challenger, Vikas Gupta had taken to social media making some explosive confessions and exposing those who wronged him. While in one of the videos he revealed being a bisexual, he also spoke about his family disowning him. Among the many revelations, Vikas also spoke about his affair with Parth Samthaan and Priyank Sharma. Yes, reality show star Priyank Sharma dated Vikas Gupta for a year and a half before they came together on Bigg Boss 14. 

Now while Vikas entered Bigg Boss season 14 with a lot of emotional baggage, recently, once again after being poked by Arshi Khan, Vikas had an emotional breakdown. In the recent episode, we saw an emotional Vikas revisiting his affair with Priyank during a conversation with Rubina Dilaik, where he was seen saying that now we will surely make sure he doesn’t find work anywhere in the industry. 

Well, even though the emotions might be real, bringing up this topic looked very unnecessary. This season of Bigg Boss has been all things fake and this recent confession from Vikas involved some monetary gains. A source tells us that this emotional breakdown of Vikas was another tactic of the makers to gain TRPs of the show. And this is not the first time they have done so. 

The source tells us that Vikas has been paid a hefty amount to make this revelation about his personal life of the show. A figure of Rs 15 lakhs is what Vikas might get paid for the confession. Even though Vikas didn’t name Priyank, he called him an ex-contestant and in his Instagram video, he had revealed dating Priyank for a year and a half. It is not just Vikas, but as per our source, the Bigg Boss makers even waived Kavita Kaushik’s Rs 2 crore penalty (for walking out from the show) for dragging her and Abhinav Shukla’s past on national television. 

For those who don’t know, back in Bigg Boss 11 Priyank Sharma had gotten very violent in the house when someone called him gay. But guess that was the truth, another thing Vikas told about Priyank was how he faked an injury during a web-show Vikas had cast him for and because of that Vikas suffered major losses. And this was also what is said to be the reason behind equations going sour further between Priyank and Vikas. 

Bringing personal lives into the public domain, be it for Abhinav Shukla or Priyank Sharma is surely not cool on the makers' part. But then, at the end of the day, it's anything for TRPs.
