22nd IIFA Awards: Shershaah tops the Nominations

The nominations for International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2022 in 12 Popular categories are announced. The 22nd edition of the awards will be held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on May 20th and 21st, 2022. With a variety of films, this year Indian Cinema took the box office by storm. With the highest number of nominations at 12, Shershaah is at the top of the list. ‘83’ and ‘Ludo’ received 9 and 6 nominations respectively. As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the nominations for 12 popular categories of IIFA 2022 are:

Shershaah, 83, Ludo, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Thappad.

The Best Direction category

Kabir Khan (83), Anurag Basu (Ludo), Shoojit Sircar (Sardar Udham), Vishnuvaradhan (Shershaah) and Anubhav Sinha (Thappad) 

Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category 

Vidya Balan (Sherni), Kriti Sanon (Mimi), Sanya Malhotra (Pagglait), Kiara Advani (Shershaah), and Taapsee Pannu (Thappad). 

Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) category 

Ranveer Singh (83), Vicky Kaushal (Sardar Udham), Sidharth Malhotra (Shershaah), Late Irrfan Khan (Angrezi Medium), and Manoj Bajpayee (Bhonsle).

Best Actor in A Supporting Role (Female) category
