UGC NET Registrations begin at Official Website, Deadline is May 20

For the December 2021 and June 2022 merged attempts, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced to begin the registration process for the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET). Interested candidates can apply online through the official website of UGC at www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The application window for the exam will close on May 20. 

The official notification 

In the notification, the NTA has not announced the exam date, however, the exam date will be released soon, it said. Earlier, the NTA Chairman has shared on his Twitter handle that the exams are likely to be conducted in June 2022. 

In an official statement, the NTA said, "The slots of JRF of both UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 cycles have been merged while the methodology for subject-wise cum category-wise allocation of JRF remains unchanged."

Steps to Apply 

- Visit the official website of NTA at www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in, nta.ac.in. 

- Go to the link 'UGC NET December 2021/June 2022 registration'. 

- After clicking the link, the applicant will be redirected to a fresh page. 

- Now register by filling in the accurate personal details. 

- Log in with the registration number. 

- Fill out the form by uploading the details. 

- Deposit the fee. 

Application Fee Details 

The application fee for UGC NET December 2021/June 2022 combined attempt is Rs. 1,100 for General Category, for General-EWS, OBC-NCL the fee is Rs. 550 and Rs. 275 for SC, ST, PwD, and third-gender candidates.
