UAE Bans Indian Wheat Export Till September
The UAE has prohibited the export of all varieties of Indian wheat for four months.

In a recent move, the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced to ban the export of Indian wheat for four months till September, stated the news agency. In the statement, the ministry said that this ban will be applicable to all varieties of wheat including hard, ordinary, soft wheat, and wheat flour.
The ministry has announced this decision amid international developments affecting the trade flows and also in order to appreciate the strategic relations between India and UAE, after the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and the Indian government's approval to export wheat for consumption in the UAE.

Statement by the ministry
Additionally, the ministry said, "companies wishing to export and re-export wheat and wheat flour varieties of Indian origin that were imported by the country before May 13, must submit a request to the ministry for permission to export outside of UAE. All documents that will help in verifying the data regarding its terms of origin, date of transaction, etc must be submitted to the ministry", quoted as saying by the Khaleej Times.

The pact signed between both the nations
In February, the UAE and India signed a broad trade and investment pact to cut all tariffs on each other's goods and aim in order to increase their annual trade to $100 billion within five years, as reported by the Times of India.
