Rethinking Sent Messages on WhatsApp? Unsend Them Even After Two Days
WhatsApp says that the limit of messages that can be deleted is actually 2 days and 12 hours, for a total of 60 hours. The unsent message feature basically means that you can delete a sent message that is even two days old.

WhatsApp has officially brought the option to delete messages that are older than two days. WhatsApp confirmed the update via a tweet on Tuesday. The unsent message feature basically means that you can delete a sent message that is even two days old.
In fact, WhatsApp says that the limit of messages that can be deleted is actually 2 days and 12 hours, for a total of 60 hours. Interestingly, WhatsApp gives its users more time to delete/unsend an old message, which may worry some people. The message deletion feature is available to users and they can choose to delete the message for themselves or for everyone.

Photos and videos can also be deleted
WhatsApp says the feature is not sent, isn't limited to conversations, and you can delete photos and videos. You can tap on a chat, photo, or video and decide how you want to delete the content. WhatsApp hasn't made it clear, but we hope the new feature will come to Android and iOS users. This feature can come in handy if you make a few typos in a previous conversation or even send a message you'd rather not send after thinking about it for the next 48 hours.
???? Rethinking your message? Now you’ll have a little over 2 days to delete your messages from your chats after you hit send.

The upcoming features of the app
This is not the only feature that Whatsapp will bring in the coming months. It will soon allow users to hide their online status from friends, contacts, or anyone. This option will ensure that people and their privacy are not exposed in public, especially in relation to their online presence in the messaging app. Earlier this week, we found traces of Whatsapp adding more privacy features to its users. The beta version of the Android app is testing the ability to hide your phone numbers in the WhatsApp community.
