Reliance Jio hikes Tariff Plan Prices, Effective from Dec 1
Reliance Jio has hiked the tariff plan prices which will be effective from December 1.
Three-month plans lasting 84 days have also become expensive now. The base 1.5GB 4G data per day plan, which was earlier priced at Rs 555, will now be available for Rs 666. Reliance Jio has increased the tariff of its prepaid 4G plan in India. The Mukesh Ambani-led telco has also revised the price of Jio prepaid plans, which will be valid from December 1. The original Jio 4G prepaid plan, which was earlier priced at Rs 129, will cost Rs 155. Let's take a look at the price of the new Reliance Jio 4G prepaid plan.
Reliance Jio new prepaid plans
Reliance Jio has increased the price of all its 4G prepaid plans by 20 percent. Airtel and Vi have taken this step after increasing the price of 4G prepaid plans by up to 25 percent. Jio said in its press release that the price hike would "further strengthen a sustainable telecom industry".
After December 1, 2021, the JioPhone plan, which was priced at Rs 75 for 28 days, will now cost Rs 91 in India. Unlimited plans will now start from Rs 155 instead of Rs 129. Under this 28-day plan, users get 2GB data per month along with unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS. The Rs 149 Jio prepaid plan, which was valid for 24 days, will cost Rs 179. Users will get 1GB 4G data per day along with 100 SMS and unlimited voice calls.
Tariff Plans
The price of Jio's Rs 199 prepaid plan has been increased to Rs 239. The 28-day plan will get 1.5 4G data along with 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls. Similarly, the Rs 249 plan with 2GB data per day for 28 days will cost Rs 299.
The price of Rs 399 and Rs 444 of Reliance Jio will be Rs 479 and Rs 533 from December 1. Under both the plans, users will get 1.5GB and 2GB data per day. Apart from this, users also get the facility of 100 SMS and unlimited voice calls under two plans.
