On Friday, the Central government has once again extended the last date for linking Aadhaar card with PAN card. The last date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar card was 30 September, which has now been extended by 6 months to 31 March 2022, so those who have not linked their Aadhaar card with PAN card need not to be afraid. A statement by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said that this limit has been increased keeping in mind the trouble due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
In an official statement, the CBDT said, "The Central Government, in continuation of its commitment to address the hardship being faced by various stakeholders on account of the Covid-19 pandemic, has, on consideration of representations received from various stakeholders, decided to extend timelines for compliances under the Income-tax Act, 1961."

Additionally, the CBDT said, "Further, the time limit for issuance of notice and passing of order by the Adjudicating Authority under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988 has also been extended to 31st March, 2022."
