NIOS announces to conduct Practical Exams for classes 10, 12 from Sept 27

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the date for conducting the practical examination for secondary and senior secondary classes. The exams will start from September 27 and continue till October 12.
The practical examinations of subjects like biology, geography, home science, and painting will be conducted between September 27 and October 1, whereas the practical examinations for the subjects like physics, environment science, physical education, chemistry, and yoga will begin on October 3 and continue till October 7. For the subjects like mass communication, computer science, data entry operations, and library the practical examinations are set to start from October 8 and continue till October 12.
As a mandate, the candidates will need a hall ticket for appearing in the exam. Candidates failing to produce the document shall not be permitted to sit in the examination. The admit card will be released on the official website of NIOS.
As per the official notification, "NIOS will be declaring the result of the practical exams six weeks after the last exam is held. However, it must be noted that the notification does not mention any particular date on which the results will be out. It has also been stated that the organisers will not be taking queries related to the date of result declaration."
In view of Covid-19, the examination will be conducted in batches. The size of the batch will be based upon the space available at the laboratory of the given centre. The students are advised to cross-check the details mentioned on all official documents and their admit card. There should not be any discrepancy in personal details. The NIOS has mentioned in the official notification that the date of examination will now remain unchanged.
