Ministry Of Finance Invites Applications For Internship, Offers Good Stipend

For pursuing an internship at the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), the Ministry of Finance, Government of India has invited applications from the interns. The internship will be offered to candidates who are postgraduate or Ph.D. and who are currently working in various fields like economic reforms, capital markets, microeconomic management, monetary policy, exchange management, foreign investment in India and Indian investment abroad, and others.
Interested candidates can apply for the internship by visiting the official website of the Finance Ministry, Department of Economic Affairs at dea.gov.in. The internship is offered for a duration of 3 months to 6 months and the last date to apply for it is June 16.

Criteria of Eligibility
The candidate must be either pursuing post-graduation or a Ph.D. in economics, finance, law, or management from institutions that are ranked among the top 25 as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework.

- Visit the official website of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (MoF-DEA).
- On the homepage, go to the link, "Internship Scheme of the Department of Economic Affairs for the year 2022-23.
- Register yourself by submitting the details.
- Fill the preferences in three divisions as per interest and other details.
- Submit the form and save it for further reference.

Process of Selection and Remuneration
The candidates will be shortlisted by a committee of senior DEA officers based on the application forms. 15 candidates will be selected for the paid internship and 10 candidates will be selected for the unpaid internship.
After the selection, post-graduate students will get a stipend of Rs 10,000/month and the Ph.D. students will get a remuneration of Rs 20,000/month. After completing the internship for at least 3 months, all the selected candidates will be provided with an internship certificate.
