Maruti Suzuki Ertiga launches in India, Is it expensive or cheap?

On Friday, April 15, Maruti Suzuki India launched their new model of Ertiga. The latest Ertiga comes with a 1.5L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology. In India, the Ertiga model is launched at the starting cost of Rs. 8.35 lakh which will go up to Rs. 12.79 lakh for the top model.

Engine specifications 

The all-new Ertiga model has an updated petrol engine of 1.5 liters and a mild-hybrid system paired up with the latest 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. There is a facility of start and stop in the engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The CNG option of Ertiga's engine makes 87 hp and 121.5 Nm of torque. 

The Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Hasuchi Takeuchi said, "Ertiga's launch 10 years ago was a significant moment in the Indian automobile industry, as it created a new segment that has been growing at a CAGR of 4.7 percent. With a decade-long legacy, the country's first compact MPV Ertiga has a special place in the Indian automobile industry. The Next-Gen Ertiga with advanced technology features will also come with a new engine and an all-new transmission", quoted as saying by Business Today. 

The bookings of the car are available at Rs. 11,000. A premium version of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is Maruti Suzuki XL6 which will be launched in India soon.
