The Haryana government has recently passed an order to reopen physical classes. Following the same, Kurukshetra University has decided to restart offline classes for first semester students from November 22 onwards after a gap of almost a year and a half. The move was decided to be taken in a meeting held on November 15 which was attended by the vice-chancellor, dean, student welfare, and the chief wardens.

The university has made it mandatory for all the students and teachers to get the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination in order to attend the physical classes. On November 13, the Haryana government has instructed the fully residential universities across the state to reopen their campus for physical classes as per their respective semester schedules in SOPs in the Mahamari alert-Surakshit. 

The instructions has been sent to all teaching and non-teaching staff of the university to get fully vaccinated in order to attend the campus physically as directed by the Haryana government. The university has asked the Chairpersons, directors, and wardens to complete the preparations for resuming physical classes as per the SOPs. Moreover, until any further notice theory classes of students belonging to semesters third, fifth, seventh and ninth will continue to be conducted in an online mode. 

The university has suspended all the physical classes after first lockdown was imposed due to Covid-19 pandemic. However, officials have informed that the final decision regarding exams which are beginning from the first week of December has not been taken yet and there is a strong possibility that the exams will be conducted online.
