Education Ministry Conducts Meeting To Revise National Curriculum Framework

The Ministry of Education conducted a meeting with senior authorities of all ministries and departments for the revision of National Curriculum Framework.

To take forward the course for the improvement of the new National Curriculum Framework (NCF) in view of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Ministry of Education conducted a meeting with senior authorities of all ministries and departments including NCERT, Election Commission of India, ICAR, and DRDO.

The gathering was led by Anita Karwal, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education (MoE), and zeroed in on how ministries and departments can contribute to fostering an educational plan structure that is responsive and pertinent to the formative necessities and interests of students at various phases.

Thoughts shared by a Senior Official from the Ministry of Education 

As reported by PTI, a senior official from Education Ministry said, "The meeting focused on how ministries and organizations can contribute to developing a curriculum framework that is responsive and relevant to the developmental needs and interests of learners at different stages of their development." 

Further, he added, "Many areas of contribution were subsequently discussed, such as the rapidly changing technology, need for innovation and generation of new ideas, needs to focus on crucial areas like climate change, future skill requirements, crucial factors for agricultural growth, knowledge of India, especially in those areas where India is at the forefront for instilling a sense of pride, assistive technology for inclusion, enriching subject knowledge with real-life information, how to promote multilingualism, and integration of sports, fitness, and arts."

The meeting focussed on developing various aspects of the education

During the gathering, the critical expectations of NCF were talked about exhaustively, including, youth care and schooling, central proficiency and numeracy, ability-based training, adaptability in the selection of subjects in auxiliary classes, a decrease of the educational plan to center basics, reconsidering professional training, recognizable proof of center abilities and content.
