Delhi: Schools to close for Winter Break from Jan 1
Delhi Schools will be closed for winter vacation from January 1, 2022, for students.

The Directorate of Education has issued an official order stating that the schools in Delhi would be closed for winter vacation from January 1 to 15, 2022. Recently, with approval from the Commission for National Air Quality Management, schools were reopened for class 6 onwards for physical classes from December 18, 2021.
Any kind of teaching and learning activities would not be conducted for students during the winter break. However, in order to ease the academic burden, schools would revise the syllabus of the academic year 2021-22 that has been covered so far.
As per the official notification released by the Directorate of Education (DoE), “All the heads of Sarvodaya Vidyalayas are, hereby, informed that the winter break for pre-primary and primary classes shall be observed from January 1-15, 2022 and the online and offline teaching-learning activities through worksheets, shall not be conducted during this period.”
"However, in order to help the students to consolidate their learning, the syllabus of the academic session 2021-22 covered so far, is to be revised during this break through assignments," it said.
"Class teachers may be further directed to make a note of the strengths and weaknesses of the students of their respective classes, so that individual attention may be given to each student after the winter vacation," it said.
