Delhi Govt announces Free Coaching for Students

The Delhi government has announced to provide absolutely free coaching for students preparing for NEET, JEE and all other entrance examinations for engineering, medical and other technical courses. As per the sources, the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with 'Avanti Fellows' to make the students ready to fight for the entrance examinations. 

Free Coaching with regular mentoring 

Under this scheme, the Delhi government will give free coaching to the students. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia informed that "In the first year of the programme, 6,000 children of classes 11-12 selected from Delhi government schools will be provided free coaching for the preparation of various entrance examinations, through test series, necessary academic support for these examinations and regular mentoring during preparation." 

Further, he said, "Earlier, this free entrance exam was started on pilot trial in some schools in coaching program, which has shown very good results. Under this program, more than 160 girls belonging to SC and ST category will be given free coaching by teachers for NEET. Some children go to the best medical or engineering colleges to become doctors and engineers. Dream of getting higher education. But their parents are not able to bear the cost of overly expensive coaching. But now in Delhi this picture is all set to change." 

He added that several children dream of studying in higher education from the best medical or engineering institutions to become doctors-engineers. However, due to shortage of resources their parents are not able to do so. To change this scenario in Delhi, under the leadership of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, children studying in science stream in government schools of Delhi will be provided with free coaching by qualified experts for entrance exams like NEET, JEE, paramedical and other technical courses.
