CNG Price hikes by Rs.2.50 per Kg, Reaches Rs.69.11 per Kg in Delhi

On Thursday, the rates of compressed natural gas (CNG) have become dearer by Rs. 2.50 per kg across the country. From April 1, the price of local natural gas has surged 110 percent to $6.1 per mmBtu. As believed by experts, the prices could go higher in the upcoming days. In the last 6 days, the CNG prices have increased by Ra. 9.1 per kg in the national capital.
Hike in fuel prices
The prices of petrol and diesel are increasing regularly in the nation. The state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) are increasing the prices of petrol and diesel continuously from March 22. In 16 days, the fuel rates are hiked by Rs. 10 per liter for the common man. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Union Minister of petroleum and natural gas in India stated in the Lok Sabha that amidst the Russia-Ukraine war, many countries have increased fuel rates by 50-55% but in India, prices are increased by only 5 percent.
In Mumbai, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has increased the price of CNG by Rs. 7 per kg to reach Rs. 67 per kg. In Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida, the CNG is selling at Rs. 71.67 per kg. In Gurugram, the CNG is retailing at Rs. 77.44 per kg. In Gujarat, the CNG prices are hiked by Rs. 6.5 per kg on Thursday, the CNG is costing Rs. 76.98 per kg.
