CLAT 2022: Online Registrations to start from Jan 1

A notification for the conduction of CLAT 2022 exam has been released. The registrations will start online from January 1.

The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) dates for 2022. CLAT 2022 will be conducted on May 8 and online application process will start from January 1, 2022. The exam will be conducted for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes. The online application portal for registrations CLAT will remain open till March 31, 2022. 

As per the official statement, “CLAT-2022 will be held on May 8, 2022. The Consortium has resolved that CLAT-2023 will be held on 18th December, 2022. Hence, in 2022 two CLAT examinations will be held in one year." 

Application Fee  

The Consortium has reduced the Counselling fee from 50,000/- to Rs.30,000/- for the General category candidates and Rs.20,000/- for ST/SC/OBC/BC/EWS/PWD and other reservation candidates. 

Eligibility 

Candidates who have passed Class 12 or appearing in the board exam can apply for CLAT UG. Interested students who have completed LLB or are in the last year of the LLB programme will be eligible to register for CLAT LLM. CLAT UG requires students to have a qualifying exam score of 45 per cent or above whereas, CLAT PG requires candidates with a score of 50%.
