These days Aadhar card is required everywhere. Your mobile number is directly linked to the Aadhar card, so if you do any work related to Aadhar, then its message first comes to your mobile number, but if you keep changing your mobile number continuously, then it is important for you to read this news. Aadhaar card acts as your identity, which is a 12 digit number. It is one of the important documents from opening a bank account to applying for passport, booking an e-ticket. In many places, its service is also taken to establish identity. However, if you have an Aadhaar card, it becomes necessary to register your mobile number with it. You will get a one time password which you will have to use for verification purposes.

According to the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India- "You can verify with your e-mail and mobile number which is declared at the time of enrollment or during latest Aadhaar update." Now, if you do not remember whether your registered mobile number is linked with Aadhar card or not, then you need not worry. You can trace it from the authority's website within minutes.

Steps to Check

- Open the browser and   visit the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) https://uidai.gov.in/ .

- On the homepage, under the Unique Identification Authority of India symbol, tap on My Aadhaar.

- A drop down menu will open on the screen under Aadhaar Services, then click on Verify Registered Mobile or E-mail ID.

- A new tab will open on your system. Here, you enter your Aadhaar number or mobile number or e-mail ID that you want to verify.

- Enter captcha code and click on send OTP.

If the mobile number entered matches with the authorization record, it will flash on the screen. The mobile number entered by you is already verified from our records. However, if the mobile number entered by you does not match with the record of the authority, it will indicate that the mobile number entered by you does not match with the record. Keep in mind that the process of updating mobile number cannot be done online. To update the mobile number, you have to visit your nearest Aadhaar center.
