virus vaccine that now another dangerous disease has started in the country.
After Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, the state has issued an alert with the spread
of these bird flu till Himachal and Kerala. Not only this, Kerala has declared
it a state disaster. Let us tell you that 376 crows have died in Madhya Pradesh
from 23 December to 3 January. The highest number of 142
deaths was in Indore, 100 in Mandsaur, 112 in Agra-Malwa, 13 in Khargone
district and 9 in Sehore. Animal husbandry minister Prem Singh Patel says that
he has sent samples of dead crows to the State DI of Bhopal.
One lakh chickens have been dead in Haryana so far
More than one lakh poultry birds have died in
Panchkula, Haryana, and the same process of killing chickens mysteriously
started from December 5. The administration has sent 80 samples of dead birds
to the Regional Disease Diagnostic Lab in Jalandhar for examination. At present, the government has appealed people not to eat chicken and stay
away from birds because it is such a dangerous disease that when it takes the
form of an epidemic, nothing can be said. What is this bird flu?
Bird flu is known as avian influenza (H5N1) virus. Bird
flu infection most commonly affects species of birds such as chicken, turkey,
geese and ducks. This can lead to death of humans and birds.

How does this virus reach in humans?
Bird flu is spread by staying in very close proximity to
infected birds. The same virus spreads in humans through their eyes, mouth and
nose. Apart from this, infection is also spread by cleaning or scratching the
infected birds.
How can bird flu be avoided and what is its treatment?
1. Stay away from dead birds.
2. If you have any bird killed then report it to the
concerned department.
3. Do not eat non-veg at bird flu sites.
4. Exit only with a mask
Bird flu is treated with antiviral drugs like oseltamivir
(Tamiflu) oseltamivir and zanamivir (Raleiza). To reduce the impact of this
virus, the person should take complete rest. Not only this, healthy diet should
be given to a bird flu infected patient. Along with this, the patient should be
kept isolated to prevent the bird flu from spreading to others.
