Weather Update: No Relief from Heatwave Conditions for the next 5 days

As per IMD's prediction, there will be no relief from heatwave condition in the country for the next 4-5 days.

In India, the summer season arrived with heatwave conditions in March this year. In the recent forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted no possibility of relief from the heat in north-western and central India for the next 5 days. There is a possibility of hot winds blowing in the north-western and central regions of India. 

No relief from heatwave conditions in these areas 

IMD predicted the heatwave conditions in South Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh to remain the same. As per the prediction, the temperatures in areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, and Punjab will hover above normal.

Sharing the weather prediction on the official Twitter handle, the MeT department wrote, "Heat Wave Spell likely to continue over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, South Punjab, south Haryana-Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand during next 5 days and over norther parts of Gujarat during next 3 days." 


Prediction of rainfall in these regions 

The weather agency also predicted heavy rainfall spells in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim in the next 4-5 days. As per the forecast, the isolated places of West Bengal and Assam like Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may witness very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms till April 11. 

Also, there is no possibility of change in the maximum temperatures in Gujarat for the next 3-4 days. However, the maximum temperature may decline by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius after the next 3-4 days.
