On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a weather forecast said that the weather in the national capital is likely to stay cloudy or partly cloudy. There is a possibility of drizzling in the national capital, said IMD.
For Thursday, the weather agency has predicted a possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorms in the city over the upcoming three days.

The weather forecast for the day
The monsoon trough is likely to continue to shift gradually northwards, leading to an increase in rainfall activity over north India from Wednesday, as reported by PTI news agency.
In July, so far, the Safdarjung Observatory in Delhi has recorded 232.8 mm of rainfall against a normal of 183.3 mm. On Wednesday, Delhi's base station, Safdarjung Observatory recorded the minimum temperature of the day at 26.7 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature for the day is likely to settle at 33 degrees Celsius.

IMD has issued Yellow Alert in Uttarakhand
For the past several days, Uttarakhand has been receiving continous rainfall due to which residents and tourists are facing problems in the region. The IMD has predicted a possibility of rainfall in Nainital, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and Bageshwar, for which a yellow alert has also been issued.
