Weather Update: IMD issues Heavy Rainfall Alert, Weather to take turn in Delhi

As per IMD, on Thursday, rainfall along with strong winds is expected in the national capital and NCR.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall in the national capital Delhi today. The Meteorological Department has said that it may rain in Delhi on Thursday. Apart from this, the possibility of rain has also been forecasted in the areas of NCR adjacent to Delhi. For the last few days, the weather has taken a turn in many states of North India.

Delhi had received heavy rainfall in the past days, after which the weather became a bit cold. Along with rain, strong winds are also expected, which can increase the problems of the people. 


As per the latest update of the Meteorological Department, along with rain, strong winds may also be witnessed in Delhi. Their speed will be 30-40 kilometers per hour. It will rain in North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, South-West Delhi, NCR etc. Apart from this, rain has also been predicted in some areas of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. 

IMD predicts Rainfall in Delhi 

An alert has been issued for light rain in Delhi and heavy rain in many parts of South India. On the other hand, the Indian Science Department has forecasted heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu and adjoining areas. Talking about Delhi, there is a possibility of rain for the second consecutive day. As per the Meteorological Department, today's temperature in Delhi can reach 12 degree Celsius. While the maximum temperature is expected to remain 27 degree Celsius. There will be heavy rain in Delhi today. 

Heavy Rainfall predicted between March 3 to March 5 

During 3 to 5 March, there may be heavy rain at different places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Along with this, there is a possibility of light rain along with thunder at most places. Heavy rain is expected at isolated places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on March 4 and 5. Also, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers in the surrounding areas.
