Weather Update: Heavy Rain in Delhi and Nearby states, Predicts IMD

There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region from Wednesday to Friday.

In some states of the country, it will rain and the cold conditions will prevail. In the latest update of the Meteorological Department, it has been said that from February 2, the winter season will start again and may continue till 4-5 February. 

Northwest India including the state of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to witness downpours and hence there will be no relief from harsh winters, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).  


There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region from Wednesday to Friday. There is a possibility of hailstorm in Himachal Pradesh on February 2 and 3 and in Uttarakhand on February 3 and 4. There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh on February 3. There is a possibility of scattered rain in Punjab, Haryana. 

It may rain with severe cold in the northern parts of Punjab-Haryana and UP. Dense fog is likely over UP, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and North Rajasthan. In the next 48 hours, cold weather may increase in Punjab, Haryana and North UP.
