Following the Supreme Court’s direction to the central government, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications from women candidates for the National Defense Academy (NDA 2021) recruitment. However, the application process for women candidates has concluded already but the criteria of physical fitness and other required eligibility for female candidates is yet to be announced.
According to the official notification released by UPSC, the NDA exam is scheduled for November 14. However, the eligibility criteria for female candidates and the number of seats have not been announced yet by the commission which has led to speculations that the NDA exam 2021 might get postponed.
The UPSC NDA II 2021 will recruit candidates for 400 posts including 370 in the national defense academy and 30 in the naval academy. The vacancies for women candidates are likely to be added to the existing vacancies.
