Amidst a downward trend of Covid-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh, schools are reopened for classes 6th to 8th. The offline classes were announced to be re-started from 23rd August, however, due to state mourning after the death of former CM Kalyan Singh, the classes are beginning from today, 24th August.

As per fresh rules, physical classes have to be held in two shifts of four hours each with 50% strength in one shift. The assembly conduction and lunch will have to be done inside the class during intervals. For the students, both offline and online classes will continue. Students will be allowed in school after the consent of the parents and those who will not come to school will have the option to attend online classes.

For the students from class 1st to 5th schools will re-open from 1st September. However, as per the earlier announcement attendance of students will not be compulsory. In case of any unwanted situation regarding Covid-19, schools will be shut down once again. The schools for students from class 9th to 12th along with the coaching centres, universities and colleges are already opened. Orders in this regard are already issued by the government to the officials of the education department.

At present, the offline classes will take place in two shifts, the first shift will be held from 8 am to 12 pm and the second shift will take place from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Only 50% strength will be allowed to attend the offline classes in both shifts. It is a mandate for all the students to wear a mask during offline classes.
