UEFA Euro 2020: Italy vs England, Italy won the title for the second time

Italy has won the title of UEFA Euro 2020 after beating England.

When Bukayo Saka's penalty shootout was over, there was silence for the English fans at Wembley Stadium. England could not make to win their first Euro Cup title and Italy won the trophy. The score remained 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes as well as after Extra-Time. Italy won 3-2 on penalties.

The magic of England's star captain Harry Kane and Starling did not work and with this Italy won the Euro Cup title for the second time. Earlier Italy had won the trophy in 1968. The 22-year-old goalkeeper Gianlugi Donnarumma showed his promptness in front of the goal post in an amazing way. Italy, however, has already reached the final twice in recent years — in 2000 and 2012 — whereas, England hasn’t got close to finals until now.

Thrilling Penalty shootout

The first shot of the penalty shootout was taken by the English captain Harry Kane and the ball got entangled in the net. After this, Italy's Domenico Berardi scored. Harry Maguire of England also scored and then Andre Belotti of Italy missed the target. England were leading 2–1 by this time, but after the chance taken by Bunacchi and Federico scores for Italy were 3–2. On the other hand, England's Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka could not do so.
