Udit Narayan: Read how his life was marked with controversies along with giant success

Udit Narayan has sung a number of superhit songs since the 90s and has spread the magic of his voice on Bollywood. Other than Hindi, he has also sung songs in Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and many other languages. Udit Narayan, who won the National Award four times, was born on 1 December 1955.


Udit Narayan's actual name is Udit Narayan Jha. Even though He was born in Supaul district of Bihar he has a close association with Nepal. He started his film career , not with a Bollywood film but with a Nepali one. The name of this film was 'Sindoor'.

After nearly 10 years of struggle, Udit Narayan gave the first superhit song, which changed his fate. This song was from the film 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak', and he got a lot of offers after this song.

He refused many times to consider Ranjana as his wife. After this, he adopted Ranjana and decided to take care of her. After this, Udit married Deepa Narayan Jha. He started a relationship with Deepa and married her in 1985. He had a son Aditya Narayan from Deepa. His son,  Aditya is also a playback singer like his father and is going to marry Shweta Aggarwal, today on his father's birthday.


He has worked with big singers , music directors and composers like Lata Mangeshkar, RD Burman, Kishore Kumar, Anand Milind, Bappi Lahiri and made a mark in the industry. In Bollywood, the films proved to be a of significance in his career for Udit Narayan after “Qayamat se Qayamat tak”. This was the first film in which he got the opportunity to sing all the songs. After this he proved to be the King of Bollywood Singing in the 90s.
