A shocking and brutal murder occurred in Bengaluru today, where a 39-year-old woman from West Bengal killed her mother and hid the body in a suitcase. The accused, who is a physiotherapist, took the suitcase to a police station in the Mico area and confessed to the crime. According to the police, the woman admitted to killing her mother after enduring frequent arguments with her. The accused resides in a flat in Bengaluru.
The incident took place while the accused's husband was away, and although her mother-in-law was present in the house at the time, she had no knowledge of the crime. The victim has been identified as Biva Pal, while the accused daughter's name is Senali Sen. Senali, who works as a physiotherapist, lived with her mother, mother-in-law, husband, and a mentally disabled son.
According to the initial investigation, the police stated that Senali suffocated her mother with a dupatta on Monday afternoon, leading to her death. She then placed the body inside a trolley suitcase, along with a photo of her father, and brought it to the police station later in the evening. Prior to the murder, Senali had administered around 15-20 pills to her mother. She committed the act when her mother complained of feeling unwell.
The motive behind the murder appears to be the frequent quarrels between the deceased mother and Senali's mother-in-law. During an argument on Monday morning, Biva threatened to end her life by consuming sleeping pills. This angered Senali, who forcefully administered the pills to her mother. Senali also admitted to being highly disturbed by the constant conflicts between the two women.
The police are currently investigating the veracity of the claims made by Senali.
