The film is a life story of Mithali Raj, the Indian Captain of Women's Indian Cricket team, who continues to smash a number of world records while successfully leading the women's team in Blue at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022.

The film 'Shabash Mithu' is directed by Srijit Mukherjee. Apart from Taapsee Pannu, actors Vijay Raaz, Ajit Andhare and actress Priya Avon will also be seen playing lead roles in this film. The story of the film will be revolving around the life of Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj as well as the women's cricket team.
