SS Rajamouli directed Telugu language film RRR has created history, by winning the Best Original Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. It’s the first Asian song to achieve this honor and Music director MM Keeravaani, lyricist Chandrabose and singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava are  thrilled after the win along with them the director SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and many others were ecstatic as well. 

The win is indeed huge as it won against some big names who were nominated in the category like Taylor Swift, Alexandre Desplat, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. 

It is very important to know why Naatu Naatu song reached such heights, the team of this film has been promoting this film for months in various international platforms and the thing that stands out about the film is its strong plot and its song that was written to show the emotions and carry forward the film therefore it had an important purpose rather than just being a song for entertainment only.

Congratulations and praises for the song have poured from all sides. Grammy award winning Indian music composer Ricky Kej along with singer Aditya Narayan and Music composer and director Ismail Darbar have all praised the film and the song. Sound designer Resul Pookutty who has won both the Oscar and BAFTA for Slumdog Millionaire stated that the music of the West and of India is different therefore this win meant that the Indian sound and narrative is finally accepted by the West which wasn’t the case a decade earlier.

The film has indeed taken Indian film to the global stage and this win is a great achievement and pride for the nation.
