Raj Kundra sent to jail for 14 days of Judicial Custody

In pornography racket case, Raj Kundra has been sent to jail for 14 days of judicial custody.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has been sent to 14-day jail custody in the pornography case. Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on 19 July. Kundra is accused of making obscene films. Earlier, the court first ordered to keep him in police custody till July 23. After that his custody was again extended till July 27. 

On Tuesday, the court sent him to 14-day jail custody. Along with Raj, his partner Ryan Thorpe has also been sent to judicial custody. Earlier, the Crime Branch team had raided the house of Shilpa and Raj. Shilpa was interrogated by the Crime Branch for about 6 hours. During this, the main accused Raj Kundra was also present.

The Mumbai Police has arrested 10 people including Kundra for making obscene films and releasing them through mobile apps. 

According to media reports, Raj Kundra is associated with at least four other pornography apps, which are under investigation. According to an investigating officer, "even after removing Hotshots from Apple and Google Play Store, we are sure that they have kept some more apps as backup. At present we are investigating it." 

As per the reports of Times of India, apart from the Mumbai Crime Branch probing Raj Kundra’s role in the adult content creation case, the Enforcement Directorate is also likely to join the investigation.
