Oscar winning Actor William Hurt Passes Away at 71

Hollywood actor William Hurt has passed away at the age of 71 years. He was a big part of Marvel Studios.

Actor William Hurt, who has worked in most of Hollywood's well-known franchise Marvel projects, said goodbye to this world on March 13. He was 71 years old. William was one of the great actors of Hollywood, he was also awarded with the Oscar. He has worked with many big production houses in his career. 

“It is with great sadness that the Hurt family mourns the passing of William Hurt, beloved father and Oscar winning actor, on March 13, 2022, one week before his 72nd birthday,” the actor’s son, Will, said in a statement obtained by Deadline, reported The Telegraph. 


William was suffering with this disease 

Actor William Hurt, who won the hearts of people with his performances in films like 'Captain America', 'Black Widow', 'The Incredible Hulk', passed away while battling cancer. In the year 2018, William himself told about the disease. He was suffering from terminal prostate cancer, which had spread to his bones. He was battling it for a long time and after many efforts he failed to succeed in the battle. 

Three times Oscar winner 

William Hurt has studied at the Juilliard School in New York City and has received the Oscar Award for Best Actor three times. He was nominated for Oscars for his commendable performance in "Kiss of Spider Woman", "Children of a Lesser God" and "Broadcast News". 

Career in Marvel Studios 

He has worked in five Marvel movies including The Incredible Hulk (2008), Captain America: Civil War(2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Black Widow (2021).
