'Online Attack Shocking, We Stand by Him': Virender Sehwag Supports Mohammed Shami

Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag has come in support of Mohammed Shami.

Indian cricket batting legend Virender Sehwag has come out in support of Pakistan fast bowler Mohammed Shami. The player has been overwhelmed with nasty abuse on social media platforms. The comments have been directed at Shami after India has faced a 10-wicket defeat by Pakistan in their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 opener in Dubai on Sunday night.

To express his shock at the comments, Sehwag has taken it to Twitter, he tweeted, "The online attack on Mohammad Shami is shocking and we stand by him. He is a champion and Anyone who wears the India cap has India in their hearts far more than any online mob.  With you Shami. Agle match mein dikado jalwa."

Team India is getting criticized by fans after facing a one-sided defeat from Pakistan. Batting first, team led by captain Virat Kohli took Pakistan to a decent 151/7 in 20 overs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Whereas, Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam scored half-centuries achieving the target in 17.5 overs.
