Official entry of India for Oscars: Gujarati movie Chhello show

Gujarati film Last Film Show (Chhello Show) is officially selected as India’s entry to the 95th Academy Awards. The film is nominated for Best International Feature Film category by Film Federation of India.

Gujarati film Last Film Show (Chhello Show) is officially selected as India’s entry to the 95th Academy Awards. The film is nominated for Best International Feature Film category by Film Federation of India. The credit of its direction goes to Pan Nalin and the star cast includes Bhavin Rabari, Bhavesh Shrimali, Richa Meena, Dipen Raval and Paresh Mehta.

Director Nalin Pan reacted to the news of the selection of his film Chhello Show as India's official entry to the Oscars. He tweeted "OMG! What a night this going to be!Gratitude to Film Federation of India and thank you FFI jury members. Thank you for believing in Chhello Show. Now I can breathe again and believe in cinema that entertains, inspires and enlightens!”

Chello show is originally a Gujarati movie which revolves around the tale of a 9 year old boy and his mad love for cinema. Consequently he manages to spent his entire summer by watching movie from the projection booth of a theatre. Chhello Show would be released in Indian theatres on October 14.Last Film Show (Chhello Show) was premired as the opening film at Robert DeNiro’s Tribeca Film Festival. It has already won numerous awards across various international film festivals. After enjoying huge commercial success the film won the Golden Spike at the 66th Valladolid Film Festival in Spain.
