KGF Star Yash debates on 10 crores promotional investment questionnaire

Yash, who was a big name of Kannada film industry, earned a name all over India by playing the role of Rocky Bhai in KGF. Apart from this, his work was highly appreciated all over the world. But in 2018, when Yash came to Mumbai for the first time to promote his film, the atmosphere was different.

Yash talked about this at the India Today Conclave 2022. During the event, Yash was told that he is bringing value. The Hindi dubbed version of KGF Chapter 1 earned around Rs 40 crore at the box office. While the Hindi version of KGF Chapter 2 earned more than 400 crores.  On this Yash said that for him he means 40 crores, more than these 400 crores. Also, he revealed that at that time he was told that he was wasting his money promoting the film in Mumbai.

Yash was asked what Hindi film distributors used to say to him when he came to promote his film KGF in 2017-2018? On this, he said, 'Many people did not even know that there is a film by the name of KGF. So, we had to tell them that this is a film called KGF which we are making. Everyone was excited about it. Even then many people here did not even know about the Kannada film industry. He further said, 'The point is that we were not connected. No one knew where what was happening. Everything is numbers. Numbers give you validation. Today, everyone's eyes on the Kannada industry are because of the number we have made. I don't consider anyone wrong for this, it was an opportunity we got.'
