Shocking news has come out from Rajkot city of Gujarat. A water bottle was thrown at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a Garba event. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders gave this information on Sunday. However, this plastic bottle went over Kejriwal’s head. He did not get any kind of injury.
These days Navratri is celebrated in Gujarat. Garba programs are being organized everywhere. CM Kejriwal had gone to Rajkot to attend one such event, when a bottle was thrown at him. It can be seen in the video of this incident that Garba program was going on Saturday night as part of Navratri festival. CM Kejriwal also reached there.
During this, when Kejriwal was greeting people, someone threw a bottle towards him from behind. On this occasion, along with the Chief Minister of Delhi, security officials and senior party leaders were also present. He was passing through the crowd at the time of the incident.
The Delhi Chief Minister was accompanied by security officials and senior party leaders as he passed through the crowd of people having fun. AAP’s media coordinator Sukarnaraj said, “The bottle was thrown from a distance. It went over Kejriwal’s head. It seems that the bottle was thrown at Kejriwal, but we cannot say for sure that it happened. No contact to the police have been done so far.
Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are on a two-day visit to Gujarat from Saturday, ahead of the Assembly polls in the state due later this year. Mann also took part in a Garba event at another venue in the city. The two CMs stayed in Rajkot during the night after holding rallies at Gandhidham in Kutch district and Junagadh on Saturday. They will jointly address two rallies in Surendranagar city and Khedbrahma town of Sabarkantha on Sunday.
