On Saturday, the Karnataka government has announced to relax a few restrictions of Covid-19. These restrictions were imposed in the first week of January in view of surging Covid-19 cases. The state government of Karnataka also announced to withdraw night curfew in the state from Monday (January 31). Apart from this, offline classes in the state will also be resumed from Monday.
The move has been taken in light of improved recovery rate and number of hospitalizations staying under control despite cases surging over the last 15 days.
As per the fresh set of guidelines, hotels, bars, pubs and clubs will now operate at full capacity instead of 50% capacity. However, ban on public functions, rallies and protests will remain in effect.
The state has allowed 300 guests at venues for wedding functions which was earlier capped at 200. Meanwhile, cinema halls, gyms and swimming pools will continue to operate at 50% capacity.
