IND vs SA: Three-match ODI series begins today

For the Indian Cricket team, KL Rahul is the new captain in the three-match ODI series.

The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa has started today. KL Rahul is the new captain of Indian cricket team for the ODI series. However, after Virat has left the captaincy, 34-year-old Rohit Sharma has become the permanent captain of the Indian team. Due to a hamstring injury, Rohit has been out of the South Africa tour and the responsibility has been given to KL Rahul along with fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain.  

In the last tour with South Africa for ODI series in 2018, India won the 7-match series by 5–1, which was the Indian team's first ODI series win in South Africa. At that time, Virat Kohli surprised the world with his amazing batting skills.  

However, this time a lot of changes are being seen in the Indian team. Many new players have been included in the Indian team based on their good performance in IPL.  

The young Indian batsman, Surya Kumar Yadav got another chance where his effort with consistency will be the test of time. Shreyas Iyer has also been selected to strengthen the Indian middle order.
