Gold and Silver prices fall down in the market

On Tuesday, the price of gold and silver faced a slight fall in the domestic market. Today, gold futures on MCX fell by 0.03 percent, or Rs 12, to Rs 47449 per 10 grams. However, talking about silver, it fell 0.22 percent (Rs 151) to Rs 66970 per kg. Along with this, the prices of gold in India are affected by the international market. 

On Monday, gold stood at Rs 47,647 per 10 grams with a marginal hike of 0.20 per cent or Rs 96. The rate of silver stood at Rs 67,156 per kg with a slight jump of 0.37 per cent or Rs 247.

Prices in the global market

Gold prices have remained stable in the global market today. Gold price has increased slightly to $ 1,798.61 an ounce. US gold futures fell by 0.1 per cent to $ 1797.80 an ounce. Among metals, silver was down 0.1 per cent at $25.14 an ounce. Palladium was down 0.4 per cent at $2647.85 and platinum was flat at $1063.93. The Gems and Jewelry Export Promotion Council said that the export of gems and jewelry stood at Rs 10,838.93 crore in the same period last year. Similarly, the export of polished and polished diamonds (CPD) increased by 113.25 per cent to Rs 14,512.11 crore in June. It was Rs 6,805.25 crore in the same month last year. GJEPC reported that gold jewelry exports grew by 398.70 per cent to Rs 4,185.10 crore in June.
