On the occasion of Chhath festival, the gold prices have increased. Today, on Thursday, the price of gold has increased on MCX by 0.30% to Rs 48,999 per ten grams. Besides, the price of silver has also increased today. On the other hand, the rate of silver has increased by 0.13% to Rs 65,961 per kg. On Thursday, 10 grams of 24 carat gold is being sold in Chennai at Rs 50,400, Mumbai at Rs 48,260, Delhi at Rs 51,710 and Kolkata at Rs 50,360.
Senior research analyst at Reliance Securities, Sriram Iyer said, "Domestic gold prices could start with small cuts this Thursday morning, tracking a weak start in overseas prices. Technically, if MCX Gold December trades above Rs 48,770 it could test the resistance zones at Rs 49,367-49,879 levels. Support zones is Rs 48,255-48,000 levels."
