Petrol and diesel prices are increased for the 9th time in 10 days. On Thursday, the price of petrol and diesel are increased by 80 paise each. Earlier on Wednesday also there was an increase of 80-80 paise. During the last 10 days, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by Rs 6.40-6.40 per liter so far.
Fuel rates in the national capital
With the 9th hike in the last 10 days, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by 80-80 paise. After the current hike, the price of petrol and diesel in Delhi has reached Rs 101.81 per liter and Rs 93.07 per liter respectively. Simultaneously, the price of petrol and diesel in Mumbai has increased by 84 paise afterward it reached Rs 116.72 per liter and Rs 100.94 per liter respectively. The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 107.45 and the price of diesel is Rs 97.52 while in Kolkata the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 111.35 and diesel to Rs 96.22 with an increase of 83 paise.
Fuel Prices to be increased gradually
As per the sources, the prices of petrol and diesel will be increased gradually instead of increasing them all at once. To compensate for the loss of oil marketing companies, the price of petrol and diesel will have to be increased by 15 to 20 rupees.
