Flights from India to UAE remain suspended till July 21

UAE will be extending the suspension on flights from India till July 21, 2021.

A Notice has been issued to Airmen (NOTAM) dated June 24, 2021, it hasbeen said that, UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority has laid down that flights to India and 13 other countries, including Liberia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic Of Congo, Uganda, Zambia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and South Africa, will remain suspended until 23:59 hrs of July 21, 2021.

The NOTAM further stated that cargo flights as well as business and charter flights would continue to operate.

Speaking to Gulf News, one official from GCAA said that as far as inbound passenger traffic from India is concerned, the status quo remains the same. “We are closely monitoring the situation in India, and a decision on when to lift the suspension on inbound travellers will be taken keeping in mind the safety and security of all parties involved,” the official added.

The authorities in Dubai had announced to ease the travel restrictions for its residents from India from June 23 onwards, provided they have got vaccinated with two doses of a UAE-approved Covid-19 vaccine.
