Facing Struggle to Sleep at Night? Follow these tips

If you constantly face struggle to have a sound sleep at night follow these simple tips.

Many experts believe that due to sleep deprivation one can face several types of health illness. Along with the consumption of healthy food, performing work out, and doing skincare routines, sleep is an aspect which is quite necessary and shouldn't be overlooked. In case of an inadequate sleep routine, the chances are high that one might experience irritation, frustration, increased hunger, fatigue as well as ailments like heart diseases, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. An ideal duration for an undisturbed sleep for an adult human body is at least 7 to 8 hours. However, the sleep routine may get affected due to increased screen exposure, too much caffeine consumption near bedtime, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, and more.

A neuroscience expert at Standford University, Andrew Huberman has recently shared few simple tips which may help to improve your sleep cycle. While sharing the tips on his Instagram handle, he wrote, "Here I describe 10 things that anyone can do to help support a better night’s sleep."

- After 30-60 minutes of waking up go into natural sunlight and repeat it in the afternoon before sunset.

- Fix a time schedule and wake up at the same time each day, however, you can take a nap when you first start to feel sleepy.

- Avoid the consumption of caffeine within 8-10 hours of bedtime.

- If you are dealing with insomnia, sleep disturbances, or anxiety about sleep, give a try to self-hypnosis.

- Avoid viewing bright lights, especially bright overhead lights between 10 PM and 4 AM.
