Delhi University's Final year exams to be held in Online and Offline mode

Delhi University has scheduled the final year exams of UG and PG courses.

Delhi University (DU) has scheduled the final year exams of UG and PG courses to be held in November and December. However, the students and teachers are still waiting for clarity for the mode of examinations. As per the university’s academic calendar, the undergraduate (UG) final-year exams for the fifth semester will start from November 30 onwards, and postgraduate (PG) final-year exams will take place from December 15.

The university is yet to clarify the mode of examination. To Hindustan Times, Dean (exams) DS Rawat said, "As part of the phased reopening, we have only allowed students to return for practical classes and not theory lessons for now. The decision between the two modes of exam (OBE or in-person exams) will be taken later based on the situation of the pandemic and other factors like how classes will be conducted."

DU registrar Vikas Gupta, citing the Delhi Disaster Management Authority’s guidelines, said, "If the DDMA guidelines are relaxed by then, we can think of holding in-person exams. Else, we are most likely to continue with online OBE."

DU has planned to reopen physical classes for final-year UG and PG students from September 15 onwards. The practical classes, lab work, and academic consultation will also be reopened for the final year students.
