According to SAFAR, Delhi's average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 346 on Thursday morning, which falls in the very poor category. However, it is definitely a little better than the previous day. Delhi's average AQI stood at 354 on Wednesday.
At the same time, in the neighboring city of Delhi, Noida too, people are suffering due to toxic air. The Air Quality Index was recorded here today at 393, which is in the very poor category. Talking about the areas of Delhi NCR, for the last few days, Noida has seen the maximum pollution effect. The situation in Noida was very serious on Wednesday.
On the morning of November 2, Noida recorded an air quality index of 406, which is considered in the severe category. Among other NCR cities, Gurugram (Haryana) recorded an AQI of 318 today and Delhi airport's Terminal 3 near Terminal 3 recorded in the very poor category with AQI 333. The air quality remained very poor on Wednesday with AQI 350 near Terminal 3 of Delhi airport and AQI 346 in Gurugram.
Amidst the deadly pollution in Delhi, the Delhi government has appealed to the people to at least use private vehicles. Environment Minister Gopal Rai in Kejriwal government said that 50 percent pollution is coming from vehicles only.In such a situation, the Aam Aadmi Party's government is appealing to the people of Delhi that people should give priority to work from home.
